# THE RANDOS

> THE RANDOS "That's what you get when you have a bunch of Randos playing music." Every great band has a carefully crafted origin story. The Randos do not. Formed in 2024 by original bassist Jonathan Edwin Scott and vocalist Dan Prekup as a simple duo act, The Randos began as an excuse to play great music, have a few laughs, and see what happened when talented musicians with questionable decision-making skills shared a stage. What happened was surprisingly good. As the project evolved, the lineup grew into a collection of seasoned Detroit-area musicians who somehow managed to occupy the same stage at the same time. Today's core lineup features: Dan Prekup – Vocals and occasional keeper of orderKyle Burris – Lead Guitar and certified fretboard wizardBill Chace – Guitar, Harmonica, and supplier of silky smooth harmoniesDaniel New – Bass and low-frequency enforcement officer with harmonies to matchHammerin' Cameron Miller – Your self-appointed Phriendly Neighborhood Smacker of all things percussive. But here's where things get interesting. Because many members are active in other bands and musical projects, The Randos embrace their name literally. On any given night, fans may find an entirely different cast of Detroit rock veterans stepping onto the stage. The revolving door has featured standout musicians such as Lonnie Jaynes (Thunderbeard ZZ Top Tribute), Jim Thiede (Chit, Southern Fry'd, Bernadette Katherine Band, and more), Dean Yeager (Southern Fry'd), Dan Agee (Hybrid Sunz),  Joe Smith,  Steve McDonald (Hybrid Sunz), and a growing list of talented suspects. The result is a band that's part rock show, part musical roulette wheel. One thing remains consistent: great songs, high energy, plenty of laughs, and the occasional moment where someone in the audience asks, "Wait... who's actually in the band?" The answer is simple: The Randos.
